The Hand Puppet

Are you insane? Would you like to be? Well there's no better way to get a head start on your madness then with your very own Hand Puppet. Composed of plastic Googly Eyes and a frightening need to express the voices in your head, this charming companion will amuse and slightly frighten anyone you choose to use it around. Little kids will think it's funny. Adults might try to commit you. Either way, you'll have a blast!

Commands:
"HandPuppet" - to let your Puppet rant
"HPLove" - to show your Puppet's affection for others
"HPMad" - shows your Puppet's desire to KILL!
"HP?" - Confuses your Puppet
"HP!" - Scares your Puppet!
"HPP" - Makes your Puppet give everybody the Raspberry
"Yes" - Allows your Puppet to Agree with You
"No" - Makes your Puppet shake it's head... er, you're hand
"Chat" - To talk to Yourself!

PLEASE NOTE: The Hand Puppet will work with both Male and Female avies, but is found under Male Accessories. This item also conflicts with any item that uses Channel 77 in the avie's body. Extremely few items replace that body channel, but if one of your items does it will either remove this item, or the other item. Also, large Hand Replacements, such as Gloves, will hide the Googly Eyes and might make the fingers inoperable. Not all custom hands are rigged correctly. To make sure it works with your avie's outfit, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't work with your existing outfit.

Want Red Googly Eyes, instead of boring old White? How about a cool new Voice for the Hand Puppet? Well then, quite complaining and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the Texture map use for the Puppet's Eyes and Tongue. Use this to make simple changes to the Puppet's appearance, like Color:

This is the Opacity layer for the Puppet's Eyes and Tongue. Basically, it's a White Silhouette of the Texture map, with the White being the solid parts of the model, and the Black being transparent. If you want to change the shape of the Eyes and Tongue, just make an inverted Silhouette of your new Texture map and you'll have an instant Cut-Out in any shape of your choosing. To help guide your new shape, please make use of the Wireframe template:

This is the Wireframe Template. You'll need this if you wish to redefine the shape of the Eyes and Tongue. This shows you how the Texture map adheres to the body of the model. Basically, just paint within these green lines and you'll be fine:

This is the Texture map for the Speech Bubbles. As you can see, it's just a square, divided into 4 parts, each being a Bubble. You can put whatever you want into those Bubbles, so please don't feel limited by my generic choices:

This is the Opacity layer for the Speech Bubbles. Again, if you wish to redefine the shape, you'll need to use the Wireframe template below for reference:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Speech Bubbles:

It's also worth noting that you can swap in and out parts of the animation under the Action tab, as well as setup loops for longer or shorter animations. So you could mix the Question morph with the hand animation for the Exclamation. You could also have the Chat animation go on for much longer, or match the length of an animation to the length of a Musical or Voice sound bite. Mess around with the settings under Actions to get the most out of your new version of the Hand Puppet

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
