Ambrose Wolfson was a kind but timid young man who emigrated to the states from Germany. A skilled butcher and shrewd businessman, within a few years he had gone from an apprentice to owning his own shop. Ambrose had an odd quirk that he would not open the shop for the three days surrounding the full moon. He claimed a strange affliction and stated that the full moon made him feel "ill." Then the body of a local shop girl was discovered in an alleyway torn limb from limb. Police followed a trail of blood to the back door of Ambrose' shop, which had been ripped from the frame. Inside they found Ambrose cowering in a corner covered in blood saying the lord's prayer. Ambrose Wolfson was put on trial where he begged to found guilty and put to death before the next full moon. The judge ordered that this be done, and Ambrose found peace from his inner demons at the end of a firing squad, armed with silver bullets. A strange last request indeed.

Now you can own this fine portrait of Ambrose. Perhaps something deep within it can shed light on this poor man's dementia.
