The Reindeer

... Hooooold on there Sonny! I think I see something missing in that Winter Wonderland room you're making! Where's Santa's favorite pack animals??? Fill in the gap in your holiday room with the realistic Reindeer! Also known as Caribou, these Northern deer are synonymous with Christmas, probably due to their association with a certain red clad hermit and his proclivity for gift giving. Just drop a few of these in the snow around your Winter Wonderland and watch that holiday spirit just pour in... or maybe that's just the eggnog? The Reindeer have several hundred frames of animations, and require little computer resources. It'll add authentic Christmas cheer without breaking your CPU! It's an item so good, I should be the one asking for the Cookies and Milk!

Like all Furniture items, use the Furniture Controls to copy, move, and rotate the Reindeer around your room. You can copy them as many times you as like from this single purchase. You can also resize them, if you want tiny or massive creatures. They will randomly play different animations as soon as they are placed, so several standing together will look very nature. And they have 1/20 the polygons of most women's hair, so feel free to drop a dozen Reindeer without hurting computer performance!

Wish the Reindeer didn't have bridles? Or maybe had tinsel on their horns? Well you're a strange one... but it can be done, via Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the actual texture used on the Reindeer's Body. Use this for small changes to the body, like color or markings. Whatever you do is automatically mirrored on the other side of the Body:

This is the Wireframe template, showing you exactly how the skin attaches to the polygon structure. This is for the advanced developers that want to make a customized skin from scratch:

This is the texture for the Antlers:

This is the Opacity texture for the Antlers. Anything that is black will be invisible, anything that is white will be solid. If you change the shape of this, make sure it matches the shape of Antler texture:

This is the Wireframe for the Antlers. At the bottom you'll see about where the Antler sheet attaches to the head of the Reindeer. If you change the shape of the Antlers, make sure to aim for this area, or the horns will float above it's head:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Bare in mind that any sounds added to the default (stance.Standing) animation will play on an infinite loop, which can get VERY annoying. A better idea would be to make a new animation and play the sounds separately.
