I saw this mesh as a "Christmas top." Okay... Anything is Christmas-themed if you make it red and green or colour it like Santa's trademark fighting togs, right? I had this exact top in the 90s and it was lavender. I remember seeing a similar top in one of those turn-of-the-century college comedies but cannot think of the name or the actress. Anyway, here's Wonderwall...
It is a little busty for my taste but it was too cute a mesh not to do something with. Besides, nostalgia is a helluva drug.
