Step by Step Instructions: Making your songs IMVU compatible Music used with IMVU needs to be in what is called a .ogg format, any music you want to use must first be converted to a .ogg file. Any product on IMVU has a maximum size of 1.9 megs so not only must you convert to .ogg format you must ensure it's under 1.9 megs in size or it will not work. To convert your mp3 and wma music files to .ogg is fairly simple and there are a number of free and pay programs that will do it, just Google for an Mp3 to .ogg converter or try downloading the software I use DOWNLOAD A FREE TRIAL HERE The free trial allows you to convert one song at a time, the full version is only $25 and worth it if your serious, but the free version works a charm if your just going to do a couple of songs. To find out the size of your finished .ogg file just right click on it and select properties. if you song is over 1.9 megs you will need to reduce the quality or cut the song shorter. |
