Specks of stardust glisten, young maiden doth listen,
For signs of the love that she left far behind,
Twas one distant sailor, not tinker nor tailor,
That stole her pure heart, and left her to pine.
How long will he be, will he marry me?
Or o'er the sea, on that distant shore,
Come home on this day, she forever prays,
Together always, forevermore.
