The Presents

Who's been good this year? WHO CARES! What people really want to see are the Presents! Buy a copy of this model and use the Clone tool to fill your room full of gifts. Sure, the boxes may be empty (...or possibly filled with spiders), but just seeing those gift wrapped packages all laying around is enough to make anybody's inner child bubble over with joy! It's the perfect addition for Holidays, Birthday Party, and even Wedding themed rooms.

The Presents object is a Furniture item, so you can clone as many copies as you like. Buy one and drop dozens! You can also scale the boxes as a group, but not the individual packages themselves. Use the Furniture Tool to clone, scale, move, and rotate the set. Hold down Ctrl and Alt to change the function you've selected, such as sliding the boxes sideways, placing them on a table, or sinking them into the floor.

Don't like the generic patterns? Well then, Mr.Picky-Pant, go DERIVE IT! Make your own version, and even sell it in the catalog for a small markup over my original, and you can keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below are the templates you'll need to get started:

Here's the texture map used for the first of the boxes. When you examine this in Previewer, this is Texture 0's skin. Use this to make small changes to the appearance of the package, like altering the color:

This is the texture map for the second box:

Third Box:

Forth Box:

This is a generic "Gray" skin. Use this to make your own box patterns and colors. Just change the color of the Ribbon and box parts, then resize down to 128x128 when you're finished:

Now, for the more advanced users, this is the Wireframe layout of the box. This one is very complicated, I'm afraid. It's designed to minimize the amount of texture used, to make the file size as small as possible. For starters, the wireframe goes beyond the edges of the texture map, repeating at the edges. Also, as you can see, the bows and ribbon ends use the ribbon wrapped around the box for their skins. This is very important to keep in mind when making your own wrapping paper, that you keep the ribbons in the places where I have them. Otherwise the bows will appear strange, possibly unpleasant:
