Hold down the CTRL key to move an object left or right. Hold down the SHIFT key to move an object up or down. The direction the object moves is relative to the camera, so if you are trying to align the sofa sections perfectly, make sure the camera is close to front and center of the sofa section. Some misalignment will occur between the corner sofa section and the other pieces, but the amount is usually just 1 or 2 pixels off. From far away this is not noticeable.
