In the quiet hours of the morning the library room at 221b Baker Street is in heavy use by one Mr. Sherlock Holmes in the heated midst of yet another case. Only John Watson has been allowed into this fount of squirreled away wisdom and endless notes and research, most of the books written by John himself all either word for word on Holmes's chemical discoveries or each case romanticized as Holmes often says Watson has a tendency to do, but Holmes himself likes an occasional flair for the dramatic. This ornate library is based on the Jeremy Brett Version of Sherlock Holmes, as he is, the folks here at Meta~Lune Creations favorite Holmes. The picture, over the mantle fireplace crafted out of cherry oak wood and reddish brown mason bricks, is the original drawing of Reichenbach Falls done in 1820. The wood paneling around the room is done in red china rosewood, scarlet mahogany and plain oak. The floor is an late 18th century carpet dusky rich red hand woven with ornate designing. The ceiling is parquet floral circular motif in soft tans, mauves and creams to offset the warmth and vibrancy of the other colours. The glass panes are done in diamonds pattern clear and light mossy green in their staining. The window seat has an hand embroidered seat with ornate Victorian flourish and roses. The pillows are hand embroidered Tudor gold roses and vining on cherry red silk and the throw is hand stitched in tans reds and browns freestyle in its embroidery. Even in the gloomy London morning you can still look out thru the rain and see the buildings and the street below. Shall you venture forth to 221b Baker Street and see the library for your self?
