The Phonograph
ARE YOU READY TO ROCK??!!!

Well, too bad. But if you like retro music machines (and I mean REALLY retro!), then the Phonograph is for you. Favored by Goths, Steampunks, and your great-great-grandmother, these human powered sound contraptions are both elegant and classy. Probably not useful, but very classy.

Commands are: "ShortPlay" plays for about 10 seconds. "LongPlay" plays for around 20 seconds. "LoopPlay" plays for 30 seconds (Derive it and loops can be changed to play longer or shorter)

Speaking of Deriving, are you not fond of the Brass on Wood finish? Wish the record player actually made some SOUND?? The DERIVE IT! Make your own version, and even sell it in the catalog for a small markup over my original, and you can keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below are the templates you'll need to get started:

This is the Wireframe layout of the Phonograph. It shows you exactly how each pixel attaches to the model's body. Use this to build a completely new texture map from scratch. This is something for the Advanced users:

To add sound, for whatever reason, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
