The Ban Hammer
(This item will fit Male or Female avies)

Sometimes you can get your point across with eloquent words... other times you need a HAMMER! When subtlety losses it's value, lay down the law with the Ban Hammer. This clawed work tool is prefect for driving down those stubborn nails that annoy you. When used, it produces a large, comical bubble that let's people know you've had about as much of them as you can take. Follow it up with a quick boot/ban from the room and nobody will ever again doubt your lordly power. Just try not to ban everybody.... an empty chatroom isn't much of a room. :/

Command:
"HammerTime" - to show the chatroom who's !

PLEASE NOTE: This item fits Male and Female avies equally, but is found under Male Gloves. It replaces avie body channel 65. Extremely few items use that body channel, but if they do, they will either remove this item or force this item to removed. Please use "Try It" before then "Buy It", to ensure it works with your wardrobe.

Prefer an old-skool wooden hammer? Blood covered? A different statement in the comic bubble? And how about some Sound Effects?! Well then, get to work and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

The Hammer's Head and Handle are separated into their own materials in case you want to add a fire, or any other kind of animated, effect to either one. Doing so merely requires applying an image of that special effect to that part's material, such as an image of fire. Then set the material to be Self Illuminating and cap it off with a "Scrolling" animation. For best effect, I'd suggest making changing the Head and leaving the Hammer something non-animated and simple, like wood or it's default fiberglass style.

This is the actual Texture map used for the Hammer's Head. Use this to make simple changes, like Color:

This is the Wireframe for the Hammer's Head. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture from scratch:

This is the Texture map for the Hammer's Message:

This is the Opacity layer for the Hammer's Message. An Opacity image is like a Black and White silhouette, which tells the computer which parts of the image should be visible, and which should not. Basically, the darker the image becomes, the less of the model is visible. You can use gray to make things glass-like, but due to errors in IMVU's handing of transparency, you might see other strange graphic glitches. It's best to stick to solid white and black:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
