A decent sized race track for cars, designed specifically to fit in my Drive Europe and Drive Canada rooms. Although the animation is derived, the mesh (that is the track itself) is a completely new mesh created by me. The original mesh was twisted and distorted, so I replaced it. My mesh has over 40 textures to reduce the tiling effect so often seen on these sorts of products. The curves are smooth and sweeping and there is realistic tyre wear. It even has a place you can park your cars, now! All the lanes are now sequential and sound effects have been added.

To begin, insert the track into your chosen room, find a suitable place for it, then lock it in the position you want. The height datum for the track is about a metre above the ground because of the way the original animation was made, so you will need to lower it to just above ground level before locking. Next, look for the 6 orange arrows on the main straight. You will find them next to the car-park. The arrows indicate exactly where the active spots are for the track animation. Load a car into your room, and snap it to one of the active spots. Do not drag it on, you must snap it on, otherwise the animation will not work. Once you have snapped the car on, you can then make fine adjustments to its positioning using the "shift" and "cntrl" keys. The triggers are as follows:

"lane1", "lane2", "lane3", etc, all the way up to "lane6"

Note the number of the lane your car is on and type the corresponding trigger. You're off! The car will do 3 laps before coming to rest again. There are 2 faster levels of triggers available:
"lane1+", "lane2+", "lane3+", etc, all the way up to "lane6+" which are a little bit faster, then
"lane1++", "lane2++", "lane3++", etc, all the way up to "lane6++" which are twice as fast as the original speed, good for Formula 1 cars.

Now for the sound effects:
"racesound" activates the sound of cars going around the track, and is perpetual until you type "racesoundstop", whereupon the sound will play once more then stop.
"distantracesound" activates a quieter version of the same sound, which is great for when you just want some background atmosphere and dont want a headache. :) It is also perpetual until you type "distantracesoundstop", whereupon the sound will play once more then stop.
"raceinterior" activates the sound of a racing car engine as heard from inside the cabin, and again it will play perpetually until you type "raceinteriorstop".
"carrev" activates the sound of a racing car or hotrod revving its engine and is again a perpetual sound. You can type "carrevstop" to make it play once more then stop.

Car Race Track Parking

There is enough space for 13 cars to be parked, as well as trucks if you want.... the empty space in the car-park is just right to accomodate my Drift Course. Use the room's furniture nodes to postition the cars in the car park. Do not use the track's animation nodes or you will find the cars zoom along near the track when you type the animation triggers! PLEASE NOTE: Only one copy of this track can be put in any one room, putting more than one copy will cause node conflicts due to IMVU's inherent limitations on furniture node assignment. This track IS NOT compatible with my Marine Slalom Course, nor the Salt Lake Slalom Course, for the same reasons. Note also that any cars left on the track at the time you close the room will zap back to the first furniture node in the room. Take the cars off and place them just beside the track before leaving. Please try before you buy and ask for a personal demonstration if you require.
