Animated Flightpath 01

At last, a brand new product never seen before on IMVU. This is a dream come true for me, my first original fully animated product (June 2015). A very big thankyou to Ladyquestio and MwoonkeyWwoonkey for helping and inspiring me to do this. This is a totally original creation by me in every way... the mesh and the animation. Nothing has been derived. For the very first time on IMVU, a decent flightpath for animating static aircraft. This one is designed specifically for light aircraft, microlights, and nanolights. It fits exactly with my grass runway and has provision for an animated shadow to accompany the aircraft, so when you fly you will be able to track your progress over the ground! This is totally unique and has never been done before. It is compatible with my Nanolight Series and will accomodate any suitable aircraft with tricycle landing gear. It is not compatible with tail draggers. It is not compatible with my Bonanza series because the shadow on those will come along for the ride in the wrong place! To get full benefit you need an aircraft and a separate shadow module. Shown above is the actual product; not much to see, because the magic is in the animation! A small blue arrow denotes the location of the origin, the active spots (furniture nodes), and the direction of travel. The course is deliniated with 4 white markers which correspond exactly with the corner markers on my grass runway.

First, place the path in a suitable position and lock it. Note that there are 2 active spots very close together, one on top of the other. One is for the aircraft, the other is for a shadow module. Next, add an aircraft and snap it onto the upper active spot as shown in the picture above left. You cannot drag it onto the spot, you must snap it, otherwise the animation will not work. Once it is snapped onto the upper spot you can use the "Cntrl" and "Shift" keys to fine tune its postion. Next, add a shadow module and snap that to the lower active spot just like the picture above right. The two active spots are extremely close together so you will have to play around a bit to become familiar with their alignment. Once you are confident that you have everything correct, jump in and type "takeoff01A". Presto! Hang on for the ride! For a slightly more sprightly trip, type "takeoff01B". The upper active spot has altitude data, the lower one does not. So if you find youself careering thru the countryside without gaining altitude it is because you are sitting on the shadow spot! Swap them round and start again. Because the shadow does not leave the ground it can actually be used for land vehicles if you want. Note: the shadow will not follow undulations in the gorund contours, it is designed to stay at a default ground level, so if you see it disappear when you fly over a mountain, don't worry, it'll reshow itself. :) It needs a particularly large room to accomodate it, my Drive Europe room is perfect for this path. DO NOT put more than one copy of this path in any one room. Doing so will cause node conflicts and will result in the paths disappearing from the room. If you want to fly more than one aircraft on the course, simply snap two aircraft onto the upper active spot, then drag them apart for a tight formation flight. Please try this product to get the hang of it, and ask for a personal demonstration if you need.

You leave the ground but the shadow does not! Shown with one of my Nanolights just before touchdown in my Drive Europe room. Shown below is what it looks like at altitude. See the shadow way down there? No-one else offers such realism. Animated Flightpath 01
