Animated flag of Jamaica. Jamaica is the home of Rastafarianism, reggae, and one of the greatest musicians in history, Bob Marley. The music of Jamaica has had an enormous influence in the United States, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. Jamaica has always been a staunch upholder of the civil rights of the people of Africa and its descendents. One of the first outspoken civil rights activists was a Jamaican: Marcus Garvey.
