Many people fear pit bulls...though I don't see why. If they would do a little research, thy would realize that YES, they were originally bred to be aggressive...toward other dogs. Furthermore, that dog-on-dog aggression can easily be trained out through early socialization.

In reality, pit are supposed to be FRIENDLY toward humans. They, as well as other breeds of dogs labeled as "aggressive," "dangerous," and "unfriendly," actually have a better breed-wide score on temperament tests than other breeds, symbolized as the best possible pets. Did you know that, looking at the numbers, Golden Retrievers are more aggressive toward humans than pit bulls?

This is Moosey, my pit bull mix. She's one of the friendliest dogs in the world...though she IS a little dangerous - she wants to be friends with everything and everyone so badly she forgets how strong she is! So tell me...how CAN you fear a face like this?
