Steamquest Travel Trunk!
The discerning adventurer travels well and packs to be ready for anything. Many a Steampunk Adventurer is a world traveler, as the travel stickers decorating this trunk demonstrate. Always traveling P.O.S.H. (A word that actually came from early travel to Egypt. Sales agents in travel agencies would write those letters on tickets of first class passengers. It stands for "Port Out, Starboard Home" and refers to the shady side of the ship. A luxury in the days before air conditioning. Only the wealthy could afford them, so the word came to mean luxury accommodations.).
The exotic destinations of our Steamquest Adventurers are a little farther afield than most. Take the map lining the right hand back case wall. It is a map of Lincoln Island, a small island memorialized in Jules Verne's "The Mysterious Island" as the final resting place of the notorious Captain Nemo. On the left back wall we have photos and sketches of some remarkable events and devices. The photo from your hunt that bagged the triceratops, a group photo of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, such stalwart friends, (It's a publicity photo distributed freely so not a copyright risk, similar to the publicity photo of the original time machine also included.) Other memorabilia as well. It is the world of steampunk as imagined by those who love the genre.
This is the world of action and high adventure. A time where values are lived and the forces of evil are opposed. A time line where science is the tool for facing the unknown. This is Steamquest.
