The Wolf Headdress
(This item is for Male avies ONLY! Female version sold separately)

You are the hunter, the stalker, the thing in the shadow the other animals fear. But your head seems a little bare.... Clad that scalp in something that will drive fear into the hearts of your foes with the Wolf Headdress. Originally made popular by the Velites, a branch of the Roman army know for their stealthy attacks and animalistic ferocity, this emblem of the forest hunter has since been linked deeply in popular culture with tribal warriors in the woods. No matter how you use it, it leaves a powerful impression on all who see it. It's up to you to decide if they are friend or prey....

PLEASE NOTE: This version of the Wolf Headdress is designed for Male Avies ONLY! There is a female version, sold separately. The headdress takes over your Hair mesh slot, so it won't work with any other Hairstyles. It should work with most avie heads, be some will cause it to shrink or grow. Please use "Try It" before then "Buy It", to ensure it works with your wardrobe.

Wish the headdress was red like the head of a Fox? Or the head and skin of a Dragon? Or even a gnarly Animal Skull! Well then, get to work and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the Texture map for the 2D Parts of the Wolf Headdress. These parts are designed for the Teeth and Ear/Horns. If you wish to change the shape of these flat elements, you'll need to make a matching Opacity layer:

This is the Opacity layer for the 2D Parts of the Wolf Headdress. An Opacity layer is like a Black and White Silhouette, mirroring the Texture map, that controls the visibility of the model. The whiter this image, the more solid the model it's attached to becomes. Solid black is invisible, and gray is transparent. You'll mostly want to stick to solid Black and White. The Opacity layer is used to define the shape of the Wolf Headdress 2D Parts. These 2D Parts are setup with an Extrusion Matrix, which means they will always appear to have thickness, no matter how you change their shape. The Ear area in particular is designed to accommodate anything from small ears to large bunny ears or antlers. If you do use such large shapes, make certain to stay within the lines indicated in the 2D Parts Wireframe. You can also remove any part entirely just by painting that part of it's Opacity layer all black:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
