The Seven Blades -v1a
(Despite the Category listing and Video, This is a product for Men AND Women!)

Legends tell of ancient magic which could summon forth 7 mystical swords from the ether to do their master's bidding. Forged from the blood of demons and tears of angels, under the intense from the breath of old dragon, these swords were created by the old gods to empower the greatest heroes and villains to change the world.

Or something like that.... I'm paraphrasing from a stale fortune cookie I found behind the fridge. Regardless of the legend's validity, you can't deny the coolness of the Seven Blades. This hidden item summons forth seven floating swords from thin air to do your bidding. Some of the actions are even continuous, and will only end at your command, should you wish to remain forever guarded from your foes. Well the Seven Blades may, or may not, protect you from your opponent's attacks and verbal jabs, if nothing else, it'll at least protect you from boredom!

Commands:
"SAttack1" - Lines up the Swords in an Arc and Fires them off
"SEncircle" - Forms a wall of Steel, between you and your foes (Continuous)
"SBladeSpin" - Fans out the Blades to slice anyone who approaches (Continuous)
"SBladeStorm" - Creates a Whirlwind of Steel between you and your enemies (Continuous)
"SBladeRain" - Rains down the Blades from above (Continuous)
"SStop" - Sends the Blades back from whence they came (Stops Continuous Animations)

PLEASE NOTE: This item Remains INVISIBLE UNTIL USED!. You won't see it on your avie until it's activated. The Seven Blades work equally well for Male and Female avies but are found under "Male Accessories". It attaches to the "Root" Node of the avie's skeleton. There's a limit to the number of things you can attach to any Node, so it might conflict with other items which attach to the other root node, like Pets. If the Seven Blades stops working after you add another item to your avie, make certain you're still wearing the item and it hasn't been removed. As always, to ensure your full satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

Prefer Axes over Swords? Flaming Ninja Stars? Pictures of your Mother-in-Law? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS?! Well then, get to work and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the Texture map for the Swords. If you wish to change the shape and form of the Swords, you'll need to reference this image with the Wireframe template below. You will also need a new Opacity layer to match your new Texture map. If your plans are more simple, you can also use this image for small changes, such as color:

This is the Opacity layer for the Swords. An Opacity layer is a black and white silhouette copy of the Texture map used to define what parts of the Texture map appear and don't appear. The White parts are solid, and the Black are invisible. Any Gray sections are semi-transparent, like glass. If you wish to reshape these blades, you'll need to make an Opacity image that outlines your new Texture map, with the parts you want to see White and the parts you don't in Black. By using Gray and "Composite" blending you can make the Swords glass-like, but I'd avoid that if I were you. IMVU isn't very good about handling multiple transparent effects, so if two swords pass close by, parts one of them will disappear. It's best to use solid Black and White:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Swords. This shows you exactly how the Texture map attaches to the model. This model is different from my past 2D, Cut-Out items in that there are sub-surfaces designed to give the object a small illusion of depth. If you wish to reshape this item, you'll get the best results if the longest, straightest part of the weapon lines up with one of the white lines that crisscross through the middle. Parts of your new item that don't line up will appear to split along the edge into 2 separate sheets, if viewed from the side. Non-Symmetrical items, like Axes, might require some experimentation to get the best effect:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.

Also please keep in mind that Deriving is not the same as using extraction tools and resubmitting. When you use tools to extract and resubmit my items without using IMVU's Deriving function, you remove me from earning anything off the sale of my items. So you're effectively STEALING from me. Not only will this get your account revoked, your credits ceases, your PayPal account shutdown, and get you into all kinds of legal troubles... it's also just plain wrong. Please don't steal from me. Please use the "Derive from Product" link and keep your account honest. You profit, I profit, and your honesty insures I'll be making many more wonderful things for you to derive from for many years to come.
