Many races, more than human or just different, from vampires to all races of elvenkind, are purported to be able to see in the dark. This alternative pupil structure, a cross between the eyes of small and big cats--hunters, all--supports this ability wholly. This strangeness is made all the more distinctive by the fire-hardened, pale, platinum-esque steel colour rimming it.
