Orca Whales .. shown here is a female with calf .. Orca's (Orcinus orca)commonly referred to as "killer whales",are actually nothing but very large dolphins .. the name "killer whale" comes from 19th and 20th century seaman who saw them killing other whales .. Orca are deadly predators to all whale species, and hunt in groups .. i've been lucky enough to see them many times out at sea while i was working ..
