This is a sound enhancer module for my Drive Europe Room designed to give a sense of peace and realism. It features distant ocean waves crashing and bird calls, giving a lovely peaceful country atmosphere. There is also an optional sound of distant traffic for when you have cars driving around. :) All sounds are perpetual once started, so you don't need to keep triggering them. The sounds are activated by making your avatar stand on the deliniated spot and then clicking buttons that appear on a small grey display which will materialise on your screen when you do stand. When the avatar finds the spot, it will go into a silly "touchdown" pose and the chat will type "score" (this is not my fault, it's the fault of the original creator). The little grey display will materialise, and you start the bird calls by clicking on the black arrow. The bird calls can be paused at any time. Clicking on "SFX 1" activates the ocean waves sound. This will continue playing until you click "SFX3", whereupon the sound will play once more then stop. Clicking on "SFX 2" activates the distant traffic sound, which will continue playing until you click "SFX4", whereupon it will play once more then stop. There is a little "hand/stop" icon, but it doesn't work. Blame the original creator. :) The volume of the sounds was deliberately designed to be quiet and unobtrusive, so if you are having trouble hearing them, increase your computer's sound volume or decrease the volume of the music you are playing. The combination of the birds and ocean together is really great for setting the mood, and I challenge you to find a better quality ambient sound product for simulating a peaceful countryside atmosphere anywhere on IMVU. Go ahead and try it out to get the hang of it. :)
What the spot looks like. When you first place this item in the Drive Europe Room, if your avatar is standing at the room entry point, this item will appear at the mouth of the southern tunnel entrance (see map).
Stand your avatar on it, and a little grey display will appear. If you don't want this item cluttering the scenery, use the "shift" key to lower it just below the grass level.
