The Fireball
(Despite the avie shown in this video, this is for Men AND Women)

Is it hot in here, or is it just ME? Will it WILL be you if you have the Fireball. This Hidden Attack item allows you to summon up the element of fire from your hands like any reasonably skilled Wizard or Ninja. You can use that fire to amuse or torch people, depending on your god-like whine. Be ready next time some slacker asks you "For a Light", with the ever burning FIREBALL!

Commands:
"FireballThrow" - Summons and fires off a Small Fireball
"FireballThrowBig" - Summons and fire off a Large Fireball
"FireballToy" - Let's you "Play with Fire" (pun)
"FireballBeacon" - Summons up a MASSIVE Fireball to signal your position to others

PLEASE NOTE: This item Remains INVISIBLE UNTIL USED! After use it disappears again, so you won't know you have it on until you active it. The Fireball works equally well for Male and Female avies, but is found under Male Gloves. Blame IMVU's poor catalog system for that one. This item also conflicts with any item that uses Channel 27 in the avie's body. Extremely few items replace that body channel, but if one of your items does it will either remove this item, or the other item. If it's not working, make certain you didn't accidentally take it off during your last outfit change. It might not properly fit certain items like Gloves, Custom Hands, or Custom Bodies. To ensure your satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

Prefer a Lightning Ball over a Fire Ball? Bigger blasts? Small Blasts? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS??! Well then quit complaining and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the Texture map for the Outer Fire on the Fireball. You'll notice that it's a bit dark. This is because the Additive lighting opacity I've used, which gives the Fireball it's bright and fiery apperance, requires dark images to avoid blowing out the Opacity into solid white. If you use brighter images for this material, you'll notice you can see all of the edges of the Outer Fire. It takes on more of a sheet-like appearance rather then the chaotic fire it's suppose to be. So if you do want to change the Fire into Lightning or something else, be aware that the Opacity it's using needs dark images to avoid being blown out:

This is the Opacity layer for the Outer Fire you see on top of the Fireball's Core. An Opacity layer is an image that matches the Texture map in size and layout, but instead of covering the model with an image like the Texture map, the Opacity image controls the transparency of the model. It's kinda like a black and white silhouette, with the brighter parts being more visible and the darker parts being less visible. If you want to change the shape of the Fire (into Lightning or human hands, for instances), you need to make a Black and White Silhouette of your new shape, with the parts you want visible in white, and the parts you don't want in black:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Fireball's Outer Fire. This shows you exactly how the Texture map attaches to the model's body. If you look closely you'll notice a blueish outline of a box in the center. That's the actual Texture map image width. The Texture map is tiled many times along the length of each sheet as it's wrapped around the spherically Core. So what you see is actually several copies of the Texture map along the total length of each fiery Outer Fire strip. As such, be aware that the Opacity and Texture maps both need to match up on the Left and Right sides to avoid unsightly lines moving through your new Fireball:

There is an Opacity layer and Texture map for the Fireball Core, but I have not included them here because I used Solid White images for both. If you want the Core to be less solid, use a small grey square for the Opacity. If you wish to change the color of the Core, use a small square of the color you want. You can detail the Core if you choose, but it will dull the brightness of the Fireball and reveal alot of it's hidden workings, so do so cautiously to avoid making an unsightly mess.

This is the Wireframe layout for the Core. You are unlikely to need this, but just in case, this shows you exactly how the Texture map and Opacity images attach to the Core. In most cases I imagine you just be using little 32x32 pixel squares for the Color and Opacity of the Core, but should you wish to add more detail, this image might be helpful to show you were to paint:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
