The Hip Hoop
(This is a product for Men and Women)

When's the last time you heard somebody tell a woman to stop shaking her hips? Well you're won't hear it with the Hip Hoop. Based on a ...popular copy-righted object I won't mention here... this glowing Torus will hang magically around your mid-section, until thrown into motion by one of it's many commands. Send it spinning, swinging, wobbling, and pulsing, whatever suits your mood and music. Handy for go-go dancers, hip-shakers, or just about anyone STARVED for attention. Go ahead... taking for a Spin! (pun)

Commands:
"HoopSpin" - Spins the Hoop around your middle like a plastic toy
"HoopWobble" - Sends the Hoop into an edge spin, aka ZOD
"HoopFloat" - Gives the hoop a nice floating effect
"HoopStill" - Resets the Hoop motion
"HoopThrob" - Gives the Hoop a steady, expanding/contracting action
"HoopPulse" - Pulses the Hoop like a Heart-beat
"HoopBeat" - Beats the Hoop like a Bass thump
"HoopRandom" - Plays all animations Randomly!

PLEASE NOTE: The Hip Hoop works equally well for Male and Female avies, but is found under Female Accessories. This item also might conflict with other objects attached to the PelvisNode of the avatar's body. There's a limit to the number of objects you can attach to any Avie body part, so if you exceed that limit, this object or another one that uses the PelvisNode, will be removed. It might not properly fit Custom Bodies. To ensure your satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

Wish the Hoop was Gold? Not a fan of Barbed Wire? How about some SOUND EFFECTS??? Well quite complaining and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the Texture map for the Inner Ring. The Ring you see is composed of Inner and Outer layers, the solid-looking Steel part being the Inner layer. Use this image to make simple changes to the appearance of the Inner Ring, such as color. It is possible to cut holes, or even remove the Inner Ring entire, with a new Opacity Layer. Be aware that the ring is twisted, so any straight lines you add will twist around the ring, as the Texture map does:

There is an Opacity Layer image for the Inner Ring, but it's not included here, because the demonstration Hip Hoop has a solid white Opacity layer. Opacity layer images are like Black and White Silhouettes of the object, with the White parts being solid, the Black being cut-through, and anything that is Gray becoming like-glass. Because my Inner Ring is solid, the image used is solid white. You can make a new Opacity layer for the Inner Ring if you wish to cut holes in the Inner Ring, make it glass-like, or remove it entirely. Just make sure your Texture map and Opacity layer both match each other in size (I used 512x64 size images). Use the Wireframe layout below to guide your new design.

This is the Wireframe layout for the Inner Ring. You'll need this if you wish to make a completely new Texture map, or Opacity layer image. Keep in mind that each section of the 36 segment doughnut is twisted 10 degrees, so any straight lines you make will actually wrap around the Ring, instead of going straight:

This is the Texture map for the Outer Ring. Just like the Inner Ring, the Outer Ring is twisted, so any straight lines will wrap around the Ring instead of merely following the edges. As the Outer Ring completely covers the Inner Ring, you'll need to cut holes in it to allow the Inner Ring to show, or else it will be completely hidden by the Outer Ring. The Outer Ring is designed for energy-effects, such as the Fire you see on the demonstration Hoop:

This is the Opacity layer for the Outer Ring. As you can see, there are plenty of black areas on this image, cutting holes in the Outer Ring so the Inner Ring can be seen underneath. If you change this image, make certain you have enough black openings so the Inner Ring can be seen, otherwise the Inner Ring will be wasted. If you don't want an Outer Covering for your new Hoop, just make this image completely back and the Outer Ring will disappear entirely:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Outer Ring:

This is the Texture map for the Hip Hoop Edges. The Edges are 4 sheets forming an X-shape which follows the contours of the Rings. Just like the Rings, the Edges are twisted, forming 2 ribbons that connect back on to themselves perfectly. In this demonstration object, I've made them "Scroll" animate, so the Edges appear to be in motion. You could use these edges to show planes or bats flying around the Avie, or use a completely black Opacity layer image to remove them entirely. If you do change the shape, you'll also need a custom Opacity layer image that fits your Texture map:

This is the Opacity layer for the Edges. If wish to change the shape of the Edges, or remove them entirely, you'll need to edit this image. Make sure your new Opacity layer matches the shape, layout, and size as your Texture map:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Edges of the Ring. There's 4 sheets shown here, resting on top of each other. If you look closely, you'll see several faint gray lines over each green line, going horizontally. These Green lines are the separation between each of the 4 sheets. The faint gray lines are the edges of each of the 2 Rings. Unless you mask off both Rings as black, you'll have to keep in mind that each Edge section sinks into the Rings a little (the amount shown by the faint gray lines). Also try not to have anything touch the Green lines, as this marks both the very bottom, as well as the very top, of each neighboring section. So anything that touches these green lines will appear to be floating over top of the Rings if you violate this border! Avoid the Green lines!:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
