  • MAKING A PLAYLIST FROM FAVORITES LIST

  • Open the PLAYLIST by MouseClick on the 8th toolbar button fromt the top of the music player toolbar.
  • Click the word FAVORITES. Each click changes to the next FAVORITES page.
  • Click Green dot in front of songs, the song will be added to the PLAYLIST.
  • ALTERNATE FAST PICK - click song name in FAVORITES to IMMEDATELY play that song in the PLAYLIST for all listeners. There is no "preview" or "cue" to sample the song seperate from the live PLAYLIST.

  • BACKUP & RESTORE IMPORT/EXPORT or SHARE SONG MEMORY

  • TO EXPORT, MouseClick the < button near the word FAVORITES
  • Use the Microsoft Windows command COPY (CTRL+C) to put data on the Windows Clipboard
  • Open the application Notepad often found in your programs/applications Accessories folder in the START menu or create a Notepad text file on the Desktop and open it on the screen.
  • Use the Microsoft Windows command PASTE (CTRL + V) to store the contents of the Windows Clipboard in your Notepad document.
  • SAVE your Notepad document as a TXT file and close the document window

  • TO IMPORT, open in Notepad or any text editor, a previously saved TXT file that was exported from song memory using the steps above.
  • SELECT ALL the contents of the text file and COPY (CTRL + C) to the Windows Clipboard.
  • MouseClick or switch back into IMVU to bring it to the front on your display screen
  • HIDE the IMVU CHAT display by pressing the CHAT BUBBLE at the bottom of the screen IMVU TOOLBAR. This is neccessary to direct the text from the Windows Clipboard to go to the Flash Music Player instead of the IMVU CHAT display window
  • OPEN the PLAYLIST panel by MouseClick on the 8th toolbar button from the top on the toolbar
  • MouseClick the > button near word FAVORITES in the playlist window
  • Use the Microsoft Windows command PASTE (CTRL+V) data from the Windows Clipboard
  • UNHIDE the IMVU CHAT display by pressing the CHAT BUBBLE at the bottom of the screen IMVU TOOLBAR. This is neccessary to reveal the IMVU CHAT display window and respond to your friends

  • SEARCH YOUTUBE FOR MUSIC OR PASTE A YOUTUBE LINK

  • Open the SEARCH panel (7th toolbar button). PLAYLIST must be hidden or shut to see SEARCH panel. If you dont see the SEARCH panel, press the 8th toolbar button to close the PLAYLIST.
  • HIDE the IMVU CHAT display by pressing the CHAT BUBBLE at the bottom of the screen IMVU TOOLBAR. This is neccessary to direct the text from your KEYBOARD go to the Flash Music Player instead of the IMVU CHAT display window
  • MouseClick the rectangular input box on the SEARCH panel and type your search keywords using your KEYBOARD or use the mouse to click the letters on the SEARCH panel or PASTE (CTRL+V) a YouTube link.
  • MouseClick the EYEGLASS on the SEARCH panel to execute the search or use the RETURH key on the KEYBOARD.
  • SEARCH panel results are limited to the size of the one page panel only. You may need to add additional details about the song you are searching to narrow the results and locate the exact song track you want.
  • MouseClick the song to immediately play and insert it to the live PLAYLIST or MouseClick the small green button before the song name to add the song track to the LAST position of the live PLAYLIST. The small red button removes the song from the live PLAYLIST.
  • OPEN the PLAYLIST panel by MouseClick on the 8th toolbar button from the top on the toolbar
  • MouseClick the word PLAYLIST to click between the PLAYLIST pages to review whats loaded in the live PLAYLIST.
  • UNHIDE the IMVU CHAT display by pressing the CHAT BUBBLE at the bottom of the screen IMVU TOOLBAR. This is neccessary to reveal the IMVU CHAT display window and respond to your friends

  • TECHNICAL NOTES REGARDING SONG MEMORY

  • You can add currently playing song to FAVORITES by clicking 6th toolbar button from top (small check button under stop button).
  • You can play FAVORITE songs from FAVORITES list (8th toobar button from top, the large checkmark under search button) then you must switch from PLAYLIST to FAVORITES list by clicking on FAVORITES.
  • Song memory is IMVU reboot resist. Song memory is IMVU cache clean resist.
  • Any derivation (alternative versions) of this player has its own separated song memory.
  • Some cleaning programs can destroy saved songs (you must turn off flash cache cleaning in them).
  • Advanced users can backup or move (import/export) song memory between computers. Just search system hard disk for YTSP.sol file with hidden folder searching turned on.

  • IF PLAYER DOES NOT REMEMBER SONGS WHEN YOU LOG BACK:

    IMVU does not support Ask method for store flash data which is now default method with latest flash releases, so you must fix it manually.

  • 1 - be sure you are talking about FAVORITE, not PLAYLIST (playlist is real time thing)
  • 2 - turn off imvu
  • 3 - download and install latest flash plugin from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
  • 4 - go to http://youtube.com and click on any video with right mouse button to see flash menu
  • 5 - choose Global Settings from flash menu
  • 6 - choose Local Storage Settigs button in Storage tab
  • 7 - find program.virtual.imvu.com on list and be sure to set it to ALLOW
  • 8 - log to imvu and save your songs
  • If after that still not work, it means that some security, cleaning or antivirus program blocks player from writing data into your hard disk
