The instrument of legend, my personal rifle, affectionately known as "Charlene" (named after Private Pyle's M14 rifle in the 1987 Stanley Kubrick epic "Full Metal Jacket"). Formally, it is a Bushmaster AK-A2 carbine, patterened after the standard direct gas-impingement-based AR-15 A2 carbine, with the major factory difference being the replacement of the standard A2 muzzle break with a rescaled copy of the muzzle break found on the Russian AK-74 service rifle. With an overall barrel length of 17", it has been further modified with a Pro-Mag custom pistol grip, a Command Arms Accessories dual carry handle-based rail system, a CNC Precision Optics tube-style red dot scope, and a pressure-activated red aiming laser mounted on top of the barrel just past the front sight post/gas block.
