This is a particle effect light that streams stars from a point. I use them in my clubs for light effects and have a small glowing maker at the base like a ceiling light.

Put them on the floors, ceilings and walls of your rooms, you can scale them but please not particle products look diffrent scaled depending on your graphics settings, open gl is best, but different from direct3d.
