Samurai was a term for the military nobility in pre-industrial Japan. Their houses were very simple and had distinctive features. This is a traditional style Samurai wood and Shoji home, dating back to the Edo period. Old Shoji screens, darkwood walls with lacquer finish. Has traditional bamboo tatami mat and wooden floors used in these homes. Large living room with screens opening to the outside and other parts of the home, with walls for display items, and spacey environment.
