The Tale of the Shadowhunter Palace Seated near the far north wall of the canyon that encloses the majority of the continent lays the Shadowlands. Looming in the center is the great keep of Valinor. The great keep was built over a 1,500 foot chasm opened by the dropping of caves by Ferrin and his men. The palace is virtually impenitrable the only ways in being teleportation and the bridges. There are other ways out of the castle but those are tightly guarded by only the most trusted of Valinor's knights. Valinor was founded originally by Lady Elvenmoon and her second husband Lord Aragorn Valinor. The original keep fell after Lord Aragorn's abandonment. The second keep was built by Lady Elvenmoon and Lord Raven Shadowhunter shortly after their marriage. The keep fell a second time during the War of the Ages. The valley fell quiet for a while until General Baltana Shadowshade and her fources, under orders of Lord Mordecai Deathstalker, swept through destroying the keep and killing all those caught in the wake. When the dust cleared Mordecai was to find, not a broken kingdom but a stronger kingdom lead by a battle hardened king and a strong willed queen. King and Queen Shadowhunter rose above rebuilding the keep as it is today and called for the realms to pull together forging the Shadowhunter Empire.
