A picture frame containing a page from the Necronomicon, a book of dark magic often mentioned in the works of 1920's horror author H P Lovecraft. In the short story "The Whisperer in Darkness" it describes alien creatures called Migo that perform bizarre surgical experiments on humans, for example keeping their brains alive in jars.
