The Avie Bottle

Let's say you're in a bind. You need something cool, funny, and just a little bit evil to decorate your room with. Where do you find such an item? Why right here, with the Avie Bottle! This wicked funny item will imprison any user, foolish enough to click on it, inside an old-timey glass bottle. For best effect, shrink this item down and place it on top of any nearby table, or seat. Instant Avie-in-a-Jar!

Like all Furniture items, use the Furniture Controls to copy, move, and rotate the Avie Bottle around your room. You can copy them as many times you as like from this single purchase. You can also resize them, if you want tiny or massive Bottle. It will look best though at it's minimum size. Hold down Control or Shift when Moving the Bottle, to get it on top of your table or seat, as it will not jump on top of that surface by itself. You'll have to center it manually.

Wish that glass was green? How about some sound effects? Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the Texture map used for the Glass part of the Bottle. Use this to modify the color, add cracks, or whatever else you want. Just be aware that the Opacity layer is very critical to controlling how well your changes appear:

This is the Opacity layer for the Glass. This controls how transparent the glass bottle is, but does not effect the Cork or Label. It's very simple, the more White, the more solid the bottle becomes. The more Black, the more transparent. Because the Glass is inside-out, the color of the bottle won't effect the avie inside. You can make the bottle 2-sided, which will color the avie inside, but will also make their hair disappear. This is a bug in IMVU:

This is the Wireframe template for the Glass, showing you how the skin attaches to the polygon structure. Use this to help guide you in the creation of your custom Opacity and Texture maps:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:

Be aware that if you use a Looping sound effect, there won't be any way to stop it from playing. This could get VERY annoying, so use them with cation.
