ADVENTURE BOOTS FOR MEN!

For humans, elves and faeries, adventure boots are comfortable and wear well. When you first started a new DnD campaign, your character had little money to spend. One of the first items you bought were "soft boots". Remember those? Here they are! Ok, enough geekiness, these boots also fit the most stylin medieval fantasy afficianado! They will work best with either bare calves, or clothing that is skintight around the calves, although some clothing items that are not skin tight but stop above the knee will also be suitable. The male long shorts overlap a little, but look fine.

Note: In order to save bandwidth, the pictures used for this product are the same as the ones created for the female version. The boots are exactly the same, except the male legs fill out the product more snugly (as they were originally built using the male avatar).

PLEASE READ THESE WORDS OF THANKS

There is no way I could have made this, my very first clothing object in 3D Studio Max without the untiring help of a couple of friends.

First and foremost, Atheist, who virtually held my hand through the tangled forest that is Max8 and walked me safely through the treacherous paths (throughout the course of a week) until we both finally saw the gleaming light at the end of the brambles and emerged victorious having braved the perils and slain the Max7-IMVU-exporter and returned the Max6-IMVU-exporter to his rightful throne. Before this time I had absolutely no experience with 3D studio max, and his patience with me was indeed virtuous. He will henceforth be known, ironically, as Saint Atheist (cue: Heavenly Chorus).

Secondly, the beautiful and gracious Lady Cassiopeia, is to be lauded for her effort as a mighty heroine in this adventure. Her skill, as she accompanied me on my journey, was invaluable and without her the quest would have surely been lost.

A WORD FOR DEVELOPERS

This product is derivable and particularly versatile, as it has an opacity map, allowing you to make rips along the calf, or fancy up the cuff. The texture mapping has been optimized for detail along the front sides. Please keep this in mind when painting your textures, as sometimes the sides of the foot and some areas of the cuff and calf appear stretched. You will see this as you experiment. I have included a texture map for you to use below. In return for giving you license to derive from this product, I ask that you please adhere to the following rules:

1. I would appreciate it if you did not derive from products derived from this, but rather please derive your products from this page. I'm interested in giving license to 2D artists who would like to use this mesh for their own designs. I do not ethically believe in pyramid schemes or middle men. Don't get greedy, get creative and then everyone can benefit from our art for a reasonable price. Deriving from this page also let's me see which products I have given license to use this mesh. As a courtesy to those trying to adhere to this rule, please do not make your derived products derivable.

2. Items derived from this mesh should not contravene the laws of Canada, or the province of Ontario.

3. It is my own personal wish that items derived from this product do not promote hate towards any group of people.

Thank you for your interest in deriving from my art! I hope you have as wonderful an experience as I have developing in IMVU.
