The Daidoji family were the support troops of the Crane. They train the yojimbo used by Crane dignitaries, and their Harriers were the elite forces that most samurai -- even within the Crane -- did not even know exist. They also contributed the most men to the rank and file of the Crane armies, the Daidoji Iron Warriors.

About the Crane Clan
The Crane Clan, Left Hand of the Emperor, is known throughout Rokugan for its skilled duelists and artisans. The Crane are also noted courtiers, wielding great power in the courts of the land. The Crane were founded by the Kami Doji.

Mon is a term used for Rokugani family crests. They are somewhat like coats of arms in that they are either associated with a particular family, or an individual who has achieved some variety of public recognition. Crests add formality to a kimono. Also it displays the person's affiliation to those around him/her.

Proper use
The Mon is not just the symbol of the people currently in the clan. It also represents the souls of all the ancestors of the clan.
