Reconstruction of a Roman vessel found on a recent archaeological dig in the midlands UK. Considerably larger than the real size for easier locating after placing in a room. A black-burnished ware jar. Could be used for storage, or just about anything. The original pot would have been glossy and very black. This reconstruction doesn’t really do the fabric justice. Black-burnished ware was made in the 2-3rd centuries in the UK and widely exported.
