The Butterflies (2) -v1a
(For Male and Female Avies)

Add a little peace and beauty to your hectic, drama filled chat room with the Butterflies. This pair of lovely fluttering creatures gracefully dance around your avie in continuous motion. Let their subtle beauty ease away the homicidal desires you have to strangle your fellow chatters for their endless complaints.

Note: This item is found under Female Accessories, but works perfectly fine with both Male and Female avies.

Prefer Monarch Butterflies over Blue? How about something completely different, like DEMONS?! Well then quite complaining and DERIVE them! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started:

This is the Texture map for half the Butterflies both. Both butterflies are mirrored images of this single wing. If you wish to make a new Wing shape, you'll need to make a new Opacity layer, which you can see below:

This is the Opacity layer I used for the Butterflies's body. This defines what you can and can't see. As you can see, it's just a Black and White Silhouette of half of the creature, with the solid parts being White and the invisible parts being Black. You can use Gray to make the Butterflies transparent, but they will work best if kept solid Black and White. The outline of this image MUST EXACTLY MATCH the shape of your Body image to look correct:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Butterflies. This shows you the correct Aspect ratio you should be aiming for. Use this as a background for your project, so you can get the placement and scale right. After you've finished making both a Texture map, and a Opacity layer, resize both images to something around 128x 128 pixels. You can use higher resolution, such as 256 or 512, but in doing so, you'll also make a much larger file size, making the object slower to perform and baring their use in certain chat rooms. 128 pixels is a good trade-off in clarity verses file size, so I recommend it:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
