The Villain Helmet
(This item will fit Male)

If you've ever thought to yourself, "I want to be an evil cactus, but I don't like the color green", then boy have I got something for YOU! Get a load of the extremely pointy Villain Helmet. This skull bucket is based on a certain pizza hating Asian kingpin with a love for excessive cutlery, and is just packed full of needlessly sharp things. If anyone ever needs a letter opener, YOU are going to be the one who's called!

PLEASE NOTE: This item is designed to fit the default Male avatar head. It may or may not fit other custom heads. I will make a female version if requested. It replaces avie's "Hair" body channel, and therefore can't be used with any other Hair-Channel replacing items. Please use "Try It" before then "Buy It", to ensure it works with your wardrobe.

Want to get rid of some of those horns? Make the points sharper? COVER IT ALL I GOLD?! Well then, get to work and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the actual Texture map used for the Helmet's Base. Use this to make simple changes, like Color:

This is the Opacity layer for the Helmet's Base. An Opacity image is like a Black and White silhouette, which tells the computer which parts of the image should be visible, and which should not. Basically, the darker the image becomes, the less of the model is visible. You can use gray to make things glass-like, but due to errors in IMVU's handing of transparency, you might see other strange graphic glitches. It's best to stick to solid white and black:

This is the Wireframe for the Helmet's Base. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture from scratch:

This is the Texture map for the Horns, Spikes, and such:

There is Opacity layer for the horns, allowing you to remove them individually by masking them into oblivion, but since all of the Horns are show, the image is solid white. If you wish to remove the Horns individually, or completely, please reference the Wireframe template below and make an image with the Horns you want removed painted solid black, and the parts you wish to keep painted solid white.

This is the Wireframe template for the Horns. Again, you can use this in order to remove horns, as well as paint new Horns from scratch:

This is the Texture map for the 2D Edges:

This is the Texture map used for the Face Mask:

There is an Opacity layer for the Face Mask, but it's solid white so I'm not including it here. Use the Wireframe layout template below if you wish to alter the shape of the Face Mask, or remove it entirely.

You should need to, but if you want to add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

There should be no need for sound, but if you do wish to add some, please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
