well ok, since i know this looks confusing, ill explain it (im an odd thinker)

her best friend is a snake, but the snake killed her becuase he knew she was alone and unhappy in there underground domain. She is glowing becuase her sould is being released, and that light is her soul.

The purple and red just represent the sorrow, and pain she had in her life, becuase she was alone...why she was alone, I DONT KNOW YET YOU ASK TOO MANY QUESTIONS lol, jk. She was alone, becuase she was born down there, the spawn of a demon. Noone accepted her on the surface, so she was forced to be there.
