Turtle Detective
(This item can be used with both Male and Female avatars)

Who's the hardshell of the law? The slow and steady hand of justice? A mean, green, policing machine? It's Turtle Detective. Detective Terry Pinn always gets his man. His keen eyes are ever vigilant of criminal activities. He keeps the streets of IMVU safe from conversation killers, topic hijackers, and attention thieves. When you're chips are down and you need a hero to turn to, called Terry Pinn, Turtle Detective!

Commands are:
"Shoot" - to bring down on the hammer on perpetrators
"Arrest" - to bring to justice the nefarious party
"CoffeeBreak" - to keep your crime fighter fueled up
"Yes" - when you're right
"No" - when you're wrong
"Yay" (or "Score") - to celebrate your victory over CRIME
"Dance" - Blow off a little steam
"Hide" - To save your hero from attack

PLEASE NOTE: Despite the avie shown in the video, this item works equally well for both Male *AND* Female avies. The Turtle Detective is found under "Pets". It attaches to the "Female03MasterRoot" bone of the avatar's skeleton, so it might conflict with other "Root" attachments if you have too many on. Also his placement position might be it the way of other pets if you use more then one. Please use TRY IT before you BUY IT to ensure it works with your chosen outfit! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't work with your existing outfit or body type.

---------------------------- Deriving Section --------------------------

Don't like the black hat? Eyes too yellow? Skin too Green? And how about some SOUND FX's?? Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the actual Texture map used on the Head. Use this for simple changes, such as color. The right and left sides are mirrored, so avoid adding any detail that would look odd on both sides of his face:

This is the Wireframe Template for the Head. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture map:

This is the Texture map for the Eyes. One map is used for both eyes:

This is the Texture Map for the Arms and Legs. It's mirrored, so one is for both the right and left sides:

This is the "Additive" texture used for the glowing Muzzle Flashes you see when the Guns are fired. Additive means that this image is both the Texture map and the Opacity layer. The brightness of the image not only determines it's color, but also it's solidness. So if you replace this image, you NEED to make something that is bright in the middle, and completely black at the edges. If you do not, you'll get a solid white cone with no definition at all. You can use it in "Composite", or with no blending at all, but you should use black on the edges regardless:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Also avoid looping sounds, as they tend to get annoying to listen to very quickly. Try to keep your volume levels low as well, as IMVU tends to over-amplify all audio playback to near ear-bleeding levels.
