PLEASE NOTE: This version is for WOMEN ONLY. There is a Men's Bird Head available, sold separately. It won't fit glasses, most front-face accessories, or the majority of hairstyles with bangs, so try before you buy! If you want to avoid hair altogether, try my Super-Cheap Baldy Hair. Most of the head uses AnySkin, but to alter the Eyes or Nose, you'll need to derive a new version of the head (Please see Deriving Section below). Please use TRY IT before you BUY IT to ensure it works with your chosen outfit! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't work with your existing outfit or body type.

Prefer a black beak? A crest of feathers? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS??! Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the actual Texture map used on the Beak. Use this if you wish to alter the texture in some small way, like color:

This is the Wireframe Template for the Beak. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture map:

There is a Crest and Wattle on the model, but it's been made invisible for this version. Here's what they look like:

This is the Texture map for the Crest and Wattle, used in the above sample:

To make the shape of the Crest and Wattle visible you'll need an Opacity layer. An Opacity layer is like a black and white silhouette, with the white parts being visible and the black being invisible. If you want to remove parts, you'll need a image the exact same size as the Texture map, but with the parts you want to keep in white, and the rest in black. Here's the one used for the sample:

It's possible to alter the shape of the head drastically. In the Editor, under the Meshes tab, look for Mesh Scale, and carefully alter the numbers. Keep between 1.0 and 0.7, in most cases, or the results might become comical and bizarre (unless that's what you're into).

The timings on the included animations can also be altered, under the Actions Tab. If you alter one of the animations using loops, make certain all of the settings between the Skeletal and Morph animations match. If there is no matching Skeletal or Morph animations, then don't worry about it.

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Also avoid looping sounds, as they tend to get annoying to listen to very quickly. Try to keep your volume levels low as well, as IMVU tends to over-amplify all audio playback to near ear-bleeding levels.
