Thick, poured concrete floor with water stains.
“Porta del Sol” (literally “Doorway of the Sun”) is the name that the Puerto Rican department of tourism has given to the western coast of the island *cough*marketing gimmick*cough*. I created this item for my my beach rooms. Great addition to any Boricua looking to spice up their beach or any other outdoorsy room.
History of "El Combate": In 1759 the locals fought with a neighboring town for the ownership of the salt flats, hence the name "El Combate" (literally "the combat" or "the skirmish"). You will find restaurants on the road and the beach area at the end of Rt. 3301. This beach is part of the Boquerón Forest Reserve. Go farther south to reach the salt flats and the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse. If you have never seen how sea salt is harvested, this is a good place to see how its done.
