I was looking for shelving and, admittedly, this was not what I had in mind but it was so nice that I was completely distracted by it. I had to develop it!
Included is a (public domain) picture of the Pittsburgh skyline from Mt. Washington. Even if you are not from the 412 you have to admit that the view is proper gorgeous. In addition to the planters in my signature style I included two fancier vases. The top one is in the austere style of the Song Dynasty. This is an uncommon yet valuable style of pottery as sought after as Ming pottery but not as well-known. Ming pottery is so well-known and talked about enough as to have become a cliche. Trust me, this is far more interesting and not as copied. The bottom is a bit fancier and is known as Satsuma-yaki, or "Satsuma-ware" here in the West and hails from Kagoshima in Kyushu. Satsuma may have been disestablished in 1871 by imperial decree but the name lives on in its products and exports.
Try it before you buy it!
