This is a short excerpt from the poem, La Vita Nuova or "The New Life" . while in his twenties, Dante some of the greatest love poetry in existence . La Vita Nuova is an example of that, and who in later life wrote the work that he is most famous for, the "Divine Comedy" , which was written over a 13 year period and finished just a year before his death in 1321.
