c.lividus tarantula

The Cyriopagopus(Haplopelma) lividus tarantula is referred to as the "Cobalt Blue" for its striking deep color. It is a fossorial species that creates a burrow that it spends most of its time in, normally only coming out to hunt at night. It is an "Old World" species found in the wild in Myanmar up to the border of Thailand.

This species is considered an advanced spider to keepers as it tends to be more on the defensive side and has a medically significant venom. That being said, bite reports are scarce and there have been no reported deaths. When keeping, caution is needed and handling them is not recommended. Like other Asian fossorials they prefer a higher humidity and plenty of substrate to burrow in.

Here is a husbandry video by Tom Moran that goes over their care in more depth.
