The Wrist Swords
(This versions is for Men ONLY! Women's sold separately!)

Need the prefect accessory for your bloodthirsty avatar? Well then, pit fighters and gladiators everywhere, get ready for the item your vicious little hearts have always dreamed of: the Wrist Swords! These retractable blades attach magnetically to leather bracers, hiding their true potential until pulled off. Once free of the forearms, and with a snap of the wrists, these blades extend into lethal deliverers of carnage to all that oppose you. You can also control exactly how much of the sword is extended or kept hidden, along with several poses and attacks to fully support your slaughtering fun!

Here are the Commands:
"DrawSwords" takes off the blades off the bracers and extends them with a snap of the wrist. It also poses the body, to stop your avie from stabbing themselves with the swords. (Shouldn't be used with other Poses)
"DoubleStrike" executes a twin bladed slashing attack.
"RagePounce" sends your avie into a fit of rage, followed by a leaping twin blade attack.
"JumpStrike" executes just the leaping twin blade attack.
"Rage" just sends your avie into a fit of rage.
"SpinStrike" executes a spinning twin blade attack.
"PitPose" poses your avie like a blood thirsty warrior, ready for battle. (Shouldn't be used with other Poses)
"MartialPose" poses your avie in Martial Arts style combat pose. (Shouldn't be used with other Poses)
"CheckSword" makes your avie examine the right blade before flicking off the blood of your enemies.
"HoldSword" instantly puts the swords into your avie's hands. Best used with Poses. (Shouldn't be used with other Holds)
"HandlesOnly" puts the Sword Handles, with Handle Edges, in your avie's hands. (Shouldn't be used with other Holds)
"BladesNoEdge" puts the Swords into your hands, minus the 2D Edges that attach to the Blades. (Shouldn't be used with other Holds)
"BladesOnly" puts the Swords into your hands, without the 2D Edges or Handle Edges. (Shouldn't be used with other Holds)
-----
If you use a Pose or Hold that you don't like, just click on a Sit spot, and then click back on a Standing spot. Doing so resets the Wrist swords back to their Default retracted state. Be careful about using two Poses or two Sword Holds together at the same time, as they can produce strange and undesirable effects. Also changing any article of clothing will reset the Wrist Swords.

PLEASE NOTE: This item only works with Male avies and will not properly fit Female avatars. There is a version for Women available separately in the catalog. This item also conflicts with any item that uses Channel 62 in the avie's body. Extremely few items replace that body channel, but if one of your items does it will either remove this item, or the other item. If you're in doubt, use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't work with your existing outfit.

Don't like those bumps on the Blade? Wish the Swords made some SOUND?? Well then DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started:

This is the Texture map for the Blade of the Swords. Use this to add blood, change the color of the metal, or whatever suits your tastes:

This is the Opacity map for the Blade of the Swords. Anything that is White is solid and anything that is Black is invisible. You can use shades of Gray to make it glass like, but be careful as IMVU doesn't handle multiple transparencies very well and the Inner Blade might become invisible:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Blades. Use this to make completely new Texture maps for the Blades, as well as direct you in how to make accurate Opacity maps:

This is the Texture map for the surface of the Bracer on the avie's forearm:

This is the Texture map for the Sword's Handle:

This is the Opacity layer for the Sword's Handle:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Sword's Handle:

This is the Texture map for the 2D Edges on the Sword. You see them as the Handle Guard and thin pieces on the edge of the Blade:

This is the Opacity for the 2D Edges on the Sword. You can use this to remove the edges entirely, or make them more impressive. Or, if you use a Black texture for both the Sword Blade's Texture map and Opacity layer, you can remove them and use these 2D Sheets as the sword's only blade. This would allow you to make very complicated blade designs as easily as painting white on black:

This is the Wireframe layout for the 2D Edges. You'll need this if you wish to make a completely new Opacity layer.

This is the animated texture used on the Inner Blade and Inner Handle. I used the same texture on both materials, but you can use different ones if you like. By altering this, you change what shows through the Opacity layer on Handle and Blade. In the case of my version, I cut holes in the Handle and Blade Opacity layer to show a fire effect:

This is the Opacity Layer for the Inner Blade and Handle:

Both the Inner Blade and Inner Handle have the same mapping as the outer surface of both. If you wanted a blade covered in fire, you could use the Blade and Handle textures on these Inner surfaces, turn off animation on those two materials, then use your animated fire texture on the Blade and Handle, animate them, and both would appear to be covered in fire. Be aware though that this wouldn't change the 2D Parts, and IMVU's transparencies don't always work as they should. But with some time and creativity, you can do MANY things with these blades!

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
