The Jack-In-The-Box

Why is Jack-In-The-Box? What did he do that was SO WRONG? Or does Jack like it in the box? He always seems happy about it. Or maybe he's just afraid that if he reveals his true feelings, something might "happen" to him. We never see if his knees have been broken. Or maybe Jack owes people money? Is the box like Witness Relocation? Has budget cutbacks in the FBI really gotten that bad???

In any case, his commands are as follows:
"PopJack" to make him jump out
"HiJack" to make him wave after being popped out
"ByeJack" to make him disappear back into his box

The Jack-In-The-Box is a Furniture item, so you can clone as many copies as you like. Buy one and drop dozens! You can also scale him from the size of a sugar cube to a small house. Use the Furniture Tool to clone, scale, move, and rotate Jack. Hold down Ctrl and Alt to change the function you've selected, such as sliding him sideways, placing him on a table, or sinking him into the floor.

Is Jack to generic for you? Wish he made some NOISE! Well then, Mr.Picky-Pant, go DERIVE IT! Make your own version, and even sell it in the catalog for a small markup over my original, and you can keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below are the templates you'll need to get started:

This is the Texture map for Jack's body. Use this to make small changes to the appearance of Jack and his Box:

This is the Opacity map for Jack's body. Everything that's white is solid. Everything that is black is invisible. I used this to mask his neck fringe, but you could cut holes in any part of his body. Just make sure your holes line up with the Texture map:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Texture map. This shows you exactly how each and every pixel attaches to Jack's body. Use this to build a completely new texture map from scratch. This is something best left for the advanced users:

If you add sound effects, be aware IMVU does not sync sounds with actions. Long sounds could be considerably out of sync with a slow playing animation. For best effect, try to use short ones. Also I highly recommend you download and use Audacity for your sound editing. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
