"Rainy Blue Sunday" Ever need a tiny quiet place to just curl into and pull a leather bound book right off the shelf and read it in peace and relaxation. Well the folks at Meta~Lune Creations worked this little room to make such a place. Using blue marble plaster well mixed and thinned to set nicely for the side walls, offset by a rich blue stained oak for the ceiling, front and back walls. The wood flooring is a carefully puzzled together light beige and dusky desert rose hues highlighted with richer almost coffee bean browns traditional mosaic parquet circular floral pattern. The pillows found on the nook bench and the floor are stuffed with goose down feathers. The first pillow set covers showcase blue brocade with white floral embroidery. The second pillow set covers are tan in colour that showcases a printed design of koi fish in a pond with large opened sakura blossoms and tiny little soft pink buds. The first single pillow's cover is off silver with delicate embroidered with black plum blossom branches covered in what and black plum blossoms. The second single pillow's soft off silver colour cover is decorated in a print with a single sakura blossom branch covered in soft white sakura blossoms over a small colourful rope bridge. The books on the light blue stained birch book shelves are all soft brown buckskin leather fully bound covering the pages of papyrus sheets full of many a wonderful story. The frame on the little stained grey~blue birch seater boxes is a hammered pattered bronze with the ornately written inscription of Sherlock Holmes thoughts on a stagnant mind. The baskets sitting around the room are hand woven wicker in soft honey browns and beige. The lights are socketed with soft egg shell white bulbs to create the ambiance but not be to brightly blinding. If one tires of reading all those soft brown buckskin leather bound books they can lean back and lounge looking out the window stylized in a ornately hand carved stained variegated forest green rose patterned wood frame and see the moon and a few falling stars thru the rain falling continuously out the window. Any one snuggled in the little bench nook can enjoy the velvet blue futon cushion embroidered with great Asian dragons and ornate floral design and on top of it the light blanket with a lovely printed pattern of cranes flying past plum blossoms that hang over a rivers splashing waves. The drawers that slide into the stained blue birch bench are also carved in the same ornate and intricate style as the window frame in the variegated stained forest green wood, the handles are pieced together in another parquet style in dusky rose with maroon highlights, those handles being solidly attached. The little carpet that graces the floor is covered with the embroidered design of a big olde koi catfish that's waiting to feed on the water skeeters that slide across the ponds top too close to it as it plays among the blossoming crocus. Last but not least the door is ornate in its stylization, with frosted panes of glass covered in ornate Victorian flourish as it nestles into the stained blue oak walls. This lovely little rainy day book room is truly a room of rest and welcomed calm with 4 standard standing spots, 4 standard sitting spots, 1 curl up spot and 1 lounging spot. We hope you love this room as much as we loved deriving it!
