In my own personal life, I have recently lost a close relative to stomach cancer, another is battling non-hodgkins lymphoma, after surviving breast cancer, a cousin is going through thyroid cancer, a sister-in-law has breast cancer, my sister survived stage 3 breast cancer. I watched my grandmother and many other cousins and aunts battle breast cancer which is so prevalent in my family that we have to get tested every 6 months. I recently had a colon and cancer scare and now am battling liver failure. A very dear friend of mine just lost her battle with brain cancer.
Cancer awareness is very dear to my heart and a very important issue. I just feel it is so important to be involved and aware, but not just aware, informed. Cancer can lie dormant in your body for years. Just get tested. Find out your risk factors. Be ahead of it. If you know early enough you have a fighting chance! Don't wait until it's too late!

Brain Cancer is a very serious cancer. This disease has no prejudice. The best defence is early detection. But we need to do all we can to support more research. This is one cancer that can highly benefit from stem cell research. I support stem cell research. I know this is a very controversial research but that is because a lot of people do not really know a lot about stem cell research. I urge you to take the time to study stem cell research before you decide against it. Learn all you can before you take away the chance for lives to be saved. Stem cell research can cure lots of diseases, including diabetes, multiple schlerosis, muscular dystrophe and all types of cancers and does not involve harvesting live infant cells, so please, re-think and research and give people a chance to live who are dying. For changing our minds we may just save the lives of our own loved ones!
