Quote from Clinton Valley Center (Eastern Michigan Asylum) when it was first built. Was torn down in 1999(?) by Gov. John Engler. It was a beautiful building with a long history, and it's shameful that it was demolished so callously. This quote was written in 1878 when the institution was first built, by a local Pontiac resident.
