The Fish Tail for Men
(This head is for MEN ONLY, Women's version is sold separately)

Hey, fishy fishy fishy! If you ever wanted to live "under the sea" you'll need a Fish Tail. This lower body replacement gives you a very life-like fishy lower half, good for whatever mermen, fish-folk, or aquatic mutants you desire to become. It includes some swim animations, but also works very well on dry land, in most avie standing and sitting positions. It's part of my line of fish and aquatically themed items. Please look through my catalog to find more: Max's Catalog of Wonder

PLEASE NOTE: This item is for MEN ONLY. There is a separate version of the Fish Tail for Women. It replaces the avie's Legs and can't be used in most Pants, Shorts, and other Lower Body Clothing. Please use "Try It" before then "Buy It", to ensure it works with your wardrobe.

Wish that tail was Red? Golden? Rainbow? And how about some SOUND FX's?? Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the actual Texture map used on the Tail's Body. Use this for simple changes like altering color:

This is a "Grey" template, containing all of the shading and detail of my my original skin, but with none of the color. Use this with an addition overlay layer to easily add color well retaining all of the existing detail:

This is the Wireframe Template for Tail's Body. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture map:

This is the Opacity layer for the Tail's Fins. An Opacity image is like a Black and White silhouette, which tells the computer which parts of the image should be visible, and which should not. Basically, the darker the image becomes, the less of the model is visible. You can use gray to make things glass-like, but due to errors in IMVU's handing of transparency, you might see other strange graphic glitches. It's best to stick to solid white and black:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
