Old Japan soaking Furo

Furo, also known in the polite form as ofuro, is Japanese for bath. Specifically it is used to refer to a type of bath which originated as a short, steep-sided wooden bathtub. Baths of this type are found all over Japan in houses, apartments and traditional Japanese inns (Ryokans). Furo are part of the Japanese ritual of bathing, not used for washing but for relaxing and warming oneself. This is a traditional wooden furo with realistic antique textures.
