As French furniture styles are named after political periods, the Louis Philippe style derived its name from the king who ruled over France from 1830 to 1848. The style named after him is characterized by simple lines and minimal ornamentation. Beautiful dark toned woods such as mahagony, ebony, walnut and palissandre were used, and the color and grain of wood became important to the design.

The Louis Philippe style is still appealing today because of its understated richness and clean lines.

There are 23 layers for super detailed texturing. Some textures are so small they are unnoticable but this was done to add to the detail. This will look outstanding if you use a darker color in those areas.
